Dev – Bengal’s Pride, Future’s Curator

Dev Aditya, the ‘Boris Bike’ famed Bengali Social Innovator has recently been awarded by ‘The Bengal’s Pride’ award at a star-studded event held at the Churchill Room in the UK Houses of Parliament (Palace of Westminster).

This is an international award celebrating the successes of all the Bengali’s globally and is judged by the members of the House of Lords. Amongst the winners of this award from previous years are Pronoy Roy, Neil Basu, Sahana Bajpayee. Dev has received the award for community and social work which includes his phenomenal contribution towards Student Community & organizing South Asian Festivals.

Mr. Hiroyuki Niwa, the Chairman & CEO of Jemca Car, Toyota International handed over this Award to Dev. It was conferred to him by Sir David Amess, Member of Parliament.

“Any award or recognition boosts us. But this one is really different because it is recognizing Bengali’s contribution globally. I believe people would dare to imagine the World without Bengalis & their Contribution.” says a visibly proud Dev, one of the youngest recipients of this award.

As a firm believer of making this world a better place, Dev is committed to contribute more towards his motherland. As a part of his continuous endeavor, Dev is bridging the gap of required soft skill for global employability by bringing a bouquet of Skill Development initiatives. Designed by Otermans Institute’s Dr. Pauldy Otermans, this skill-enhancing module is set to shift the paradigm. Currently, Dev is introducing these modules in various schools spread across India, Nepal & Bangladesh.

“It’s time for all the stakeholders to look at reality. Teachers, Parents, Students & even Government need to understand the changing perceptions of job readiness. We are bringing these most apt solutions which would benefit a thousand students”, urges Dev Aditya.
