Ranur Prothom Bhag Slotted for August

Based on the story by Bhibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay, “Ranur Prothom Bhag” a teleserial of 27 episodes directed by Debidas Bhattachary has been slotted to be televised in August.

Shooting of the serial took place at the Baraipur Rajbari with all the cast members present to enact their miscellaneous roles. Based on the joint family system which is fast fading into oblivion, the director attempts to bring about a revival of sorts at a time when these families living together have drifted apart and become separate nuclear families. The casting ropes in Gourishankar Panda, Shakuntala Barua, Subroto Chowdhury, Soumi Pradhan, Rakesh Ghosh and other new discoveries.
